Hi, I'm Ricky Wong

Ricky Wong

I'm Ricky, a Computer Science and Data Science student at Purdue University.

I'm currently working in the Pre-Trained Models Lab under Dr. James C. Davis. I am developing scalable agentic methods that enable large language models / AI systems to reason effectively about increasingly large and complex software.

I am also working with the Artificial Intelligence in Music under Dr. Yung Hsiang Lu. Here, I am working on automated music transcription, converting video to guitar tablature using computer vision and machine learning.

I've previously worked at The QUANT Lab @ Purdue under Dr. Erik Otárola-Castillo, developing machine learning models and software applications for archaeological artifact classification.

I co-founded the Chinese American Student Association at Purdue and also previously served as treasurer for the past two years. Since its founding, the club has grown to over hundreds of yearly members.

Back in the very past, in high school, I was very heavily involved in music, marching band as a drum major, and in wind and jazz ensemble on clarinet/sax.

Some cool projects I've worked on include Impostor, minomize, Beyond Deduction, and NTMap. See all

Nowadays, outside of tech, you can find me playing guitar or basketball. I also enjoy eating a lot and love to try new foods.
